The family’s account says complications led to the baby’s death in the womb, before Claire later died from septic shock. The baby’s gender has not been independently confirmed.

Chadwick’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign with a £10,000 target to cover the costs of bringing her and the unborn baby’s remains back to the United Kingdom for burial.

Her sister, Shannon, said the family’s priority was to bring them home so they could be laid to rest with dignity and surrounded by loved ones.

The appeal describes the devastating loss and the practical challenges facing relatives as they arrange repatriation from overseas.

Claire had moved from the UK to Nigeria to start a new chapter with Ibrahim. The couple regularly shared videos on TikTok and Instagram documenting their relationship, faith and food challenges, building a following among viewers who enjoyed their everyday moments together.

Shannon described her sister as a strong-minded woman who lived life on her own terms and left a lasting impression on those she met.

The family’s fundraising appeal is intended to help meet the costs associated with the repatriation process and funeral arrangements. International repatriation can involve documentation, consular procedures, transportation and other expenses, placing additional pressure on relatives during a period of grief.

The tragedy has prompted messages of sympathy from people who followed Claire and Ibrahim’s online content, as well as those who knew her personally.
