The appeal was issued in a communique following the Expanded Emergency Meeting of the PDP Board of Trustees, BoT, held on Wednesday in Abuja.

The party acknowledged the strong nationwide support and loyalty of Nigerians, highlighted by the ongoing e-registration of members, with millions reportedly registering daily.

In the statement, the BoT said, “We call on all leaders and members of our party to jettison all personal and group interests and come together as one family in the overall interest of our Party and the wellbeing of millions of Nigerians whose hopes are anchored on the PDP.”

The BoT also commended the efforts of Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for their commitment and steadfastness to the party and the welfare of Nigerians.

Party officials stressed that the surge in membership registration, despite internal challenges, underscores the PDP’s position as the preferred choice for a majority of Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.

The leadership reiterated that collective action and party cohesion are critical to delivering on the expectations of citizens nationwide.
