Access Holdings Plc announced that its board met on 20 February 2026 and approved the Group’s audited consolidated and separate financial statements, along with a dividend proposal, subject to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) approval, according to a statement signed by company secretary Sunday Ekwochi.

Similarly, the United Bank for Africa board approved its 2025 audited statements and the payment of a final dividend during its meeting on 19 February 2026, also pending CBN clearance.

Both banks emphasised that the release of the audited results and dividend payments will only occur once the CBN grants approval.

They assured investors that updates would be provided immediately after clearance.

These approvals come amid heightened market focus as the CBN’s Monetary Policy Committee convenes to review the benchmark interest rate.

Analysts are debating whether to maintain the current 27 per cent policy rate or implement a 50–100 basis point cut following a decline in inflation to 15.1 per cent in January 2026.

The combination of pending bank dividends and the MPC’s rate decision is expected to significantly influence market activity in the coming days.
